Spine tingling....absolutely superb car.

Just last week i was looking around on the net and came across a red 625 TRC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xeqkgcMQjA and fancied this as the next build, i don't suppose you know of a kit on the market that replicates the TRC Ferrari?

Cars are looking good as usual, Phil. Nice to see you're not fair weather Spyder drivers.

Mine's now hibernating for the winter as I'm not able to drive it at the mo, but will emerge like a butterfly in the spring wearing a pair of 1.75 Strombergs for more oomph.

Hi, I've just joined the Tribute group, planning on a 250swb build.
I notice you get out and about a lot around Norfolk and thought this might interest you. I've been going for years and it's always good fun. mostly hot rods and American cars but I know yours would be very welcome. There's usually about 60-80 interesting old cars.
Cheers, Bob.

Sat. 27th.December. 11th Brass Monkey Run.

Get away from the turkey, the usual war films or the in-laws. Dig out your bucket and spade and join us for our run to the seaside on the North Norfolk coast.
We leave the Ram PH, Brandon (on the Suffolk/Norfolk border) at 10.00am and arrive at The Captains Table PH (formerly the Ark) in Wells-next-the Sea at 12ish. Good pub food, bar meals or restaurant. ( a distance of just over 40 miles) Stopping at Swaffham Waitrose to re-fuel and refresh as necessary.
The Ram, Brandon - leave at 10.00, coffees and bacon butties etc are available before we leave. Travel 15 miles approx. 20 mins.
Waitrose, Fakenham Rd (A1065), Swaffham. (Next to the Eco centre) arrive 10.20ish, leave 11.00 (travelling 25 miles, approx. 45 mins)
Arrive 12ish at Wells, eat chips and ice-cream and talk cars.

For more details call Tony 01842 810720 or Carl 01842 815637 or e-mail icenicarclub@fsmail.net

Might just be able to dust off my Spyder for that run myself.

I too have fallen for the concept of the 250SWB and hope to get started on one within the next two years, funds and circumstances permitting.

Good luck with your build, Hurnleft, I see you've already sorted a 2.8 Z3 donor and I look forward to seeing it transformed into a beautiful swan over on the Tribute forum.

This just mite help some one when you go to have your wire wheels balance ... for a while i had a prob with one of my wheels so had it re balance ...they put a lot of weight on it but still no good ...so get a new s/hand wheel you say ....but as i use 5.5x14 72 spoke wheels they not that easy to fine, so had wheel balance again still not right ...so had the tyre off and the wheel had it [ see pic] so found a new wheel [mgoc] popped along to have tyre put on ..got home it it was all over the place ...as i was looking in the box the new wheel came in i found this bit paper had all my wheels balance at a new shop that can do it as fig A as old place did not have a clamp so they balance them fig B ....fig b can gives false readings giving the appearance of untrue wheels which large amounts of weights required to balance .......

Quite shocking damage to the rim of that wheel Phil. I'm surprised none of the tyre fitters mentioned it when you had new tyres fitted.

I had my last set fitted at King's Lynn Tyres on the Austin Fields Industrial Estate and they balanced them with no problems (I'd contacted them first and checked they had the ability to balance wires).

They pointed out that I do have a warped wheel rim on the back so they seem to know their stuff.

Like the new wheel, are you going to paint the other three silver to match?
