Looking good Trevor. I can't tell from the pictures where you fill the coolant. You probably know this, but, make sure that the fill point is at the highest point in the system. Otherwise you will get an air lock and the system will overheat.
Not long now!

Hi there,
captaincrash1971
The seats are from here, they are the budget ones for £63 each, the budget bit means no head rest. Don't forget that I've got a slightly lowered floor, so they won't fit normally.

The filling point is on the left of this photo, follow the thin pipe from the top of the radiator and you'll see the expansion tank. I also filled the water up with the thermostat housing off - exactly so there is no air in the system. I've run it up to temp and the fan kicks in and out with no (known) issues.

It could very well fail yet! All I really want from this Saturday is a list of things that I can work through to get that MOT certificate. Ref the unless....... comment, you haven't got a snap MOT planned have you?!

The Sammio passed it's MOT earlier today, been out in it all day (on and off) and covered almost 80 miles!
Will put a more in depth update later but wanted to let everyone know the good news!

It was nice and sunny here today, just got very cold very fast once the sun started setting!
Pics of it out in the sunshine on the road here
The car is a great little B road cruiser, I loved driving it, what a sense of achievement!

Congratulations Trevor! The car is a beauty. Gary just emailed me pictures of my body in the process of being widened the 6 inches need to fit the Miata parts. I am anxious. Hopefully I can get the body shipped to me next week. Your car is an inspiration! Good job.

Hi Gary,
Feel free to use the picture, I will email over the full high resolution one in a minute.
---------------------------
To my fellow Sammio builders,
I've loved building (and now driving) the Sammio, and I hope that the exposure in the blog and in my article in Complete Kitcar Mag has raised the profile of the whole Sammio range of cars, especially the Spyder. (You'd be amazed how many people email me through the blog with questions and end up buying kits!)
I've got a very expensive few months ahead of me, I'm getting married and we're looking to move into a bigger house too - both are proving to be eye wateringly expensive.
It's with a slightly heavy heart that I've put number 48 up for sale on eBay.
I'm not in any desperate rush to sell it, and when it does go it will have to be for the right price, but as my fellow builders, I wanted to let you all know personally and explain, rather than anyone stumble across the eBay add first.
It's more than a possibility that I might re surface again (G46 anyone?) in a year or so.
Meantime I've been out in number 48 and have clocked up almost 150 miles since Saturday!
Trevor.
