Sammio or Miglia
This is listed on E-bay as a Sammio but I think it's a Miglia .
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3016072576...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Some one must know the car
All that said just look at the price it's at and I think it's genuine!!!

Definitely a Miglia Speedster and a very nice one at that.
Obviously I hope it is the twin humps driving up the price and not the colour.

How much had it gone up to then? By the time I looked it was just over £3,200.
My first thought was that it might be Tirtone's - look at the height of the seats and his dropped off the radar about eighteen months ago - but his was a four pot, the tyres are different and he did use lowered floor pans in his Miglia so it shouldn't have the Noddy driving position.
Will be interesting to see what it sells for though...

It was up to 12+ K! Which with import duty of approx £2400 would have been a very good price. Mind you the wording of the advert itself is appalling!

Miglia
I thought when it got over a thousand I slept dreaming about all those hours working on the tub were worth it ! Now it's back to just three! Ive e mailed the guy and he gave me his number and he sounded from his knowledge of the build that he was the builder? I;m tempted to bid but you sort of get attached to your own project like a troublesome child!

And to confuse things even further it does look like a 4 pot but is a 2.0 litre and has a 6 branch manifold?

It's very odd that he's referring to it as a Sammio if he built it as he would have a Miglia receipt. What is on the V5?
And it was finished 18 months ago...........

Just thought I would warn any one who is thinking of buying a re built Triumph engine from Dyno Bush from e bay! Don't on any account. His rebuilds are tragic, very bad work indeed! He comes over as a happy chap willing to do anything and he cannot! Just keep away from him he's bad news!

Price now down to £3,100. Looks like another bidder pulled out. Finishes tonight so it'll be interesting to see what it finally goes for...

Hi, are any of you Sammio builders interested in raising money for prostate cancer? as it only affects men! I'm raising money for the unit that are looking after myself and The Sammio was an inherent project that has kept me going! Have a think and let me know if your interested? Part of the battle of cancer is the positivity method and of course treatment it was the many problems encountered with the cordite build and the challenges. I'm working on the interior at present and lowering the floor pans so I don't look like Noddy!

i contacted the seller ref documentation
he may have some lying around
he dosent have any build photos or a picture of the original donor car.
i should imagine that it would be a right pain to register for a V5
what do you all think??

Could be a bargain for someone with a rotten car with a V5 in a sort of entire body/chassis transplant fashion. Otherwise it'd be quite a challenge to get it registered I should imagine.

Agree with T it's a migraine in the making, import duty then change of name? But it was just imported as a Triumph Herald sire please prove it was built by you.......

Do you have to pay import duty and VAT for a Channel Islands car?
