Default Jamma's MX250 build

Hi all

My name is Jamie and I live in Thorpe le soken. North Essex.

I placed my order with Chris just after Christmas for a MX250 kit.

It was ready to pick up last week so made the 4 hour drive down to Tribute HQ...... Note to all.. The kit will not fit in a VW Transporter! (Not even close!) hahaha. However it was well worth the trip down to meet Chris and Dan, see my kit fitted to the workshop mx5 shell and gain some build tips. Even if you're getting your kit sent by courier to you I highly recommend a trip down to meet Chris.

My kit is now due to be with me next week.... Much excitement!

I used to work for a company called GBH Motorsport specialising in Japanese performance cars. I'm still very much involved and run a car in the uk Time attack series, British drift championship and compete in my own car in sprints and hill climbs. That's my car background.

Will post some pics as soon as I work out how to do it from an iPad!

Watch this space!

Hi Jamie

It was a first that a customer couldn't fit all the parts in their van. Not to worries like you say it will be with you soon. How are the preparations going?

Here's the Little MX5 that I got last year for a bit of cheap road fun.... It's spiralled out of control as here I am building an mx250! Hahaha

Preparation is going slowly Chris! Got most of the car stripped down though! I'm finding it tough to find time with a full time job, new house and 3 month old baby!!!! Could end up being quite a long project!

Nice fast looking cars! You surely must run a professional garage, as this sort of stuff can't be done on the driveway, or can it?

Thanks Scottie, the red cars were built in a professional garage in company colours but the golf was built in a small wooden garage as the mx will be.
