The time has come.....
After a 10 year love affair with my beautiful Marlin Sportster the time has come to go our separate ways and for me to concentrate on the new woman (whoops, I mean car) in my life

When the Royale came into your life, I am sure we all thought its a matter of time before you said your fond farewells to what is an exquisite car. Beautifully built with tlc, exceptional eye catching appeal, lovingly cared for and a testament to your attention to detail. You and Goo are out of the same mould.
Not wishing of course to insult all the other builders on here.
But you and Goo put all your hard work on show for all to see and I am sure we lesser mortals are in awe of you two.
I am sure it will go to a good home.
The Royale is also looking fabulous Peter.
Good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the plug Dennis, I should have got you to write my advert copy
I know there are may other cars of excellent build quality on here and I'm sure they'll be couple more finished soon!
I've had one nibble at my advert so far, so it will be interesting to see how long it takes to sell.
Just need a few days of spring sunshine to bring the punters out

Well spotted Dennis! I've turned off the advert as I've taken a deposit.
I won't say too much until the sale is completed

Well, after 5 years of planning and building plus five years of driving it was time to say farewell to my Marlin. It's gone to a good home on the South Coast of England where it will be lovingly cherished by its new owner and go for nice picnics in the Hampshire countryside.
Goodbye! by marlinpeter, on Flickr

Congratulations on the sale Peter. Not surprised it went quickly. Is the owner going to bring it to Stoneleigh ?, plus himself of course.

It must be sad to see her go after all the work you put into it and so soon after the recent upgrade.
Did you shed a little tear ??!!
I'm sure I would do.
Glad to hear she's gone to a good home.

Thought I should inform you guys that I have sold my Sportster, it sold very quickly ( five days ) and has gone to a good home.
Am moving on to an MG B Roadster, have not found a good one yet, so still looking.
Have enjoyed the Sportster though.

Whilst trying to get my Sportster built I am running round in an MGF and have joined the MG Owners Club. They produce a monthly magazine with cars for sale and I too have been tempted by the MGB - my father bought one new in 1963 but both he and the car are long gone!
