Hi Dave,
I just posted a test message on your build thread, so it seems to be working OK for me.
Although it does seem odd that you can post here, but not there?
Hope you get it fixed.
Cheers, Paul.

Well I've just posted another test message and everything is still working for me??
Perhaps you should PM "JG", the forum moderator to see if he knows what is going on.
Cheers, Paul.
PS
I'm just about to go off line for a while.

Looking into this now.
Looks like you should be ok if you go direct to the thread you want to read or post to (google is your friend) but the main index page is playing up.
It's a memory issue and I am looking at what we can do to fix it.
Thanks, John

Update
We believe this is a server issue as the forum itself seems to be ok. We have asked the sever provider to look into it but for the time being the forum link at the top right of the Madabout site now directs to the 'Build Area' of the forum rather than the forum home page to skirt round the issue.
If you choose the Forum home page from the breadcrumb navigation you will still see the error.
Hopefully the issue will be resolved soon.
Thanks everyone
John

I am over in the Tribute section, but have had the same "fatal error" messages.
That seems sorted now, but in the forum section, the bit where people currently on line usually are shown, is missing, will this also be resolved or is this a permanent change?

I've just temporarily directed the forum to the 'Build Area' section rather than the forum home page which is the part with the problem.
Whilst we operate our own server it is managed by our host provider so we are at their mercy to fix the problem (server script memory issue). Hopefully it will be sorted soon but we appreciate your patience while it is looked into.
Cheers, John

Update...
Hopefully you shouldn't be seeing the previous error anymore and the forum homepage is back with us....but minus the stats that show how many people are online and view individual sub forums.
We will be working on rectifying that issue as I know a lot of you like to see who and how many are online and viewing the forum but for now all the sub forums are back.
Thanks John

The forum is fully operational again, although it never 'went down' as such there was a script error that caused a memory issue. We have pinpointed the issue and at the same time updated the forum software.
A side affect of this is that we can now host your pictures as you can now create picture albums and can then link those pictures in your forum posts.
You will notice a 'Community' tab up top, this (and your profile) has a link to Picture albums and you can create albums and upload pictures. Once the picture is uploaded and when you view the picture it will show a link to it that you can paste into your forum post.
No need to host elsewhere now
Example here

JG - Thanks for all your hard work sorting the forum out John.
Not sure if the new software has effected the "Smilies" as some are working and others are a blue "?".
Although as I am typing this, the smilies box to the right is full of blue "?".
( Normally I just type the code when I am writing my posts in Word. )
Cheers, Paul.
