NG do some interesting light pods that could be glassed into the wings:

I built a glass fibre canoe when I was 17 so it can't be that difficult.

Seriously though, glass fibre is not that difficult to work with as long as you have the right conditions (not too cold and definitely not too hot) to work in, good materials (try glasplies) and the right tools. Oh - and you don't mind itching a lot after lol.
