Hi hotrodgt40. I for one would be delighted to see pictures of your new car, but I can't find where you've posted them...

A lot of work, maybe, but a healthy looking machine to build on.
Wondering whereabouts you are in France?

Yes it's a really lovely base!
Things to do:
- LHD conversion
- Drive trains refresh
- Brakes refresh
- Engine change (Alfa V6 maybe)
Many thanks to Crocus for the builders manual
Only miss pages 11 / 33 / 34 / 45, if someone got them?
Yes I'm French, I live near Orléans.

Hello gagat;
Nice car, great acquisition, congratulations! I think I saw it for sale long time ago.
I think I have pages 11 and 45 of the Deon manual. I´ll check it and send them to you. unfortunately, I don´t have the others.
Anyway, I´m sure you´ll find your own solutions!...
Does your car have the backbone type chassis?

The backbone is the big centre tunnel structure where the gear linkage and water pipes run along. It gives most of the stiffness to the chassis. Some owners modify this area to gain space. That´s why I asked...

ok, great, I see. You probably have a classic mini steering rack fitted. If you are looking to make a LHD conversion, I have one LHD mini steering new and unused if you are interested.

You may not know, but a British transport firm (George White) comes to SW France one or two times a month bringing small things people need from the UK. On his last trip he brought a food supplement for one of our horses who is pregnant. Next time he is bringing a small building (in kit form) for my neighbour.
For the feed sacks, he charged us about €2,80 per 25kg bag, so a steering rack should not cost much to bring, but it does need to be taken or posted to his depot in the UK. We live just south of Cahors, so George White lorries regularly travel the A20.
If you are at Orléans, it should not be difficult for him to bring you car parts from the UK.
If you have trouble translating the English used here, do please say. I have lived here 7½ years, and although my French is far from perfect, I can usually work out how to say in French all that I need to!
George White's web site is here His web site is here www.georgewhiteeuropean.co.uk

Hi
I have spent the last 2 + years on a Mirabeau, so extremely delighted to hear another might be some way to completion. I hope to have mine on the road ,hopefully next April / may.
I do have a build manual, and several articles from magazines, and a lot of ( amateur) experience with too many modifications to itemise.
I am not sure how you can email me personally to make contact, but will be happy copy my manual/ parts list and help in any way I can. Try a PM through forum to start
Regards
Dave

Don't look for one of their car moulds unless you want trouble!!
