Default Q: Brake Line Supports?

I've noticed in a lot of sources of information that the brake lines are supported every 150mm, is this essential for IVA compliance?

No mention of specific distances in IVA manual:

Quote:
9. A brake pipe or hose must be adequately clipped or otherwise supported.
Section 09D, page 85.

http://www.transportoffice.gov.uk/cr...20May%2009.pdf

The only thing that seems to have a max. set distance specified between fixings is cabling, and that's 300mm

So it's up to you - I can't remember what the distance between fixings was on my brake lines:

But it was good enough to pass.

Really? There used to be a specific requirement under sva. It would hsve been sround 10 cm at a guess. I remember using some cut pipe as a marker when I built to sva previously.

It was an optional extra with the marlin kit - I can't recall exactly how much it was, but it wasn't silly money, and was easy to fit (no cutting or bending or flaring required)
