Bonnet hinges
I bought some beautiful Morris Minor hinges for the bonnet and leather straps for the front edge. Unfortunatel the hinges end up lifting the bonnet too pround of the wings. Has anyone fitted these and does anyone have a photo of the MX with 4 bonnet pins??

Chris told me he used 4 bonnet hinges on his first Mk2 build, although it's not obvious from the pictures. I plan to do the same, working on the principal that if I need to get to the motor I might as well have as much room as possible.

Not sure if these will help. I have to fit the hole surrounds on once the paint work has been cut back. [IMG] [/IMG]

Not the hinges
Ive looked at this a bit further and its not the hinges. Its the edge sitting very proud and when you lift the front into line it doesnt make it any better. Has anyone else come across this??

Bonnet
I had a similar issue. when the middle of the bonnet is level with the front the curved sides are to high. I increased the curve on the bonnet a little by warming it up and clamping it down. You may find your pins can pull the edges down if you support the middle. GRP will change shape if you hold it in place, just dont force it.
like the black !
