Searching for a Lexus Kit
Hello all,
I'm new to this, so if I seem a rube, it's all from being so green.
I'm not sure if the kit I am looking for even exists, but I have searched high and low and haven't found it yet, so I thought I'd take it to the pros here.
I am looking for a kit of the Lexus car used in the movie Minority Report.
Does anyone have any idea where, or if, something like that might be?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
I'd also be interested in any sight or source that offers any kit concept car and/or progressive futuristic designs.

Lexus info received
Thanks! This is more than I've been able to gather. This gives me some great info to work with. At least I have an option for contacts, but reading these threads it sounds like this guy is in some trouble....? Do you happen to know the whole story about him?
Thanks again,
Cello

No I don't know the story, but from what i've read the guy is in deep trouble!
But check this website for extra info on the real designer, he is the best entertainment designer in the film industry, but used to work for Porsche and Mercedes.
http://www.haraldbelker.com/home.html
If I was going to create a similar kit, I would alter the design quite a bit, not to get in trouble with design infringment laws, especcially in the USA!!!!!

Balker and legal issues
I was aware that there might be legal issues, but I was under the impression that if I was making it for myself and not reproducing it for anyone else, I should be alright. Is this not true? That is, if it is only for me can they still confiscate it? I'll be loking into this is a bigger way now that I read the site you offered.
As far as that Balker site, I tried to acces it once before (and here in the link you provided) but I can't get past the bio/resume page, after that it won't connect to any of the rest of the site. I seriously apreciate the help though.
I suppose going about this reproduction things sounds like it can be tricky. How do they warrant reproducing the lamboghinis, cobras, etc.? Are those parent companies involved in the licensing of the reproductions? Do they get a cut of the reproduction sales? Just wondering.
Again, thanks a lot for the help.

On the top left of that page, you will see PORTFOLIO, click it and it will show you a new page, with all the various projects.
I think Belker is very stringent on his designs, so i would be very carefull if i were going to copy his car.
If you alter part of the design, let's say the front and rear end, and some of its side view, you would be creating a new design.
You can keep some of the original, and you won't have problems in replicating it, because it will be a new car.
