Default Just add AT LEAST 15bhp

Okay. I got back from 2 weeks in the south of France enjoying 30-35 degree temperatures and sunshine to a rainy, windy, rainy, shitty, rainy, wet Sunday. I nipped down to Halford's and had a play with some paint.

Feel free to love it. loathe it, take the piss. It kept me entertained during the rain while waiting for my new bonnet.

Video "How To" or rather "How I did it" to follow on http://www.madabout-kitcars.com/foru...?t=5495&page=2

If the whole car was red it might add 50 bhp!!!!

Certainly brightens things up from the boring black they are standard

Is that Halfords Wheel Silver? It looks great Nick. Is it heat proof paint?

Remove and clean the plastic covers

Sand them to let the primer key

Spray with 3 coats of plastic primer

and three coats of rattle can red

Oil cap silver to contrast

mask of BMW carefully and spray silver

Realise the black plastic exhaust looks a bit crap

Bin bags taped around to mask the rest of the engine and then some aluminium coloured high temp paint

and from this angle you can't even see the silver overspray :-)

...overspray actually just adds to the authentic period race car look. Check out the wing badge on the Ferrari at 4m13s in -
