Default Hi Newbie here

Just thought I would say Hi so Hi ...I am just commencing building an SR V12 Daytona, the rolling chassis was reputedly put togeather by Southern Road Craft (so gotta be well over 10 years ago) and the body just chucked on so it is complete rebuild everything off.

I have a complete body doors bonnet and boot and rolling chassis with an early V12 E Type Carb Engine in it but (have not even tried to turn it over, thinking about have not even dipped it for oil)
no gearbox or Prop
no exhaust
no interior
no electrics
no dash
no hood or frame

I have over the past year collected original seats, lights, bumpers, switches other chrome bits including and as of today all the glass.

I have sources for most bits (being prohibited only by costs)

But

The hood is causing me a real problem, the frame that is, does anybody know anybody that makes hood frames I may be able to get one to copy, I guess I could make one myself (but I reckon I have enough to do) LOL

I am hoping to start on it this year any help and general encouragement great appreciated :-)

Later Budgie

The hood is the last thing to worry about tbh, there are some trim shops that will make the sticks and hood for you. try Martrim and All Wheel Trim, I think there's a place on the Isle of Wight too.

I've had my kit on the road for 3 years now and still haven't got to the roof!

Chris.

Yeh Hi Chris I agree with you.. but the min the one I could copy is not fitted to a car and it does not have the hood attached to the frame so easier to copy ..

Will try and find details for Martrim (so what do you have/are you building) then Cheers again Budgie
