Im booking Monday with Travel Destinations (£1200 for two people) 'Glamping'
Depart Thursday 7th July 9am (approx.)
Return Monday 11th July 6 pm (approx.)
Channel tunnel around 8-9am starting from Calais
In the red 250 SWB Kalifornia, I'm going with Kevin Llewellyn in a red 250 SWB Koupe with 3-4 of his friends (F40, Porsche Speedster, etc).
The customer we are building a 250 SWB Koupe for at the moment wants to come but not confirming yet, put on possible list, Bryn Webber.

Don't forget your warning triangle, first aid kit, spare bulbs, hi-vis jackets and breathalysers!!! Glasses wearers need a spare pair too.

Breathalyser and spare bulbs not actually required and not heard of the spare glasses rule. Triangle, high vis and first aid occasionally get checked for if the plod can't find anything else to fine you for.

Do you know where the glamping site is ?
In the olden days of LeMans we found the very best loos on site were in the museum at the main entrance ! They still are and include air conditioning and loo role , what a relief !
To be fair facilities on the circuit have improved so much over the last 20 years. It used to be extremely basic.

Strange- breathalysers still listed as a legal requirement to carry them, however unlike the other items your are legally required to have with you there is no fine for non-compliance. French rules of the road require cars to carry a spare set of bulbs.

Thinking about it , if you are on your own the price is ok. If you have 2 or 3 or more in your car it gets expensive as its "per person" . A ferry ticket is usually per car and upto 5 people and the campsites outside the circuit will be priced per pitch with only a little extra for each extra person.

Bulbs are like breathalyser. If your headlights are sealed units there is no point carrying a bulb. They either officially or unofficially stopped fining people.

And not having spare bulbs was more of an "offence" than having a light out !!! So people never replaced them anyway.
For most people, replacing xenons are a garage job.
And almost forgot- leave your super duper radar Snooper at home.

Anymore takers for this ? Looks like only a few of us at the moment.
Still time to make arrangements but it will get booked up before long.
Camping LaFleche and tunnel crossings still available at the moment.

The campsite still has some availability , I suggest if you are planning to come but haven't booked then do so by the end of March at the very latest.
Fantastic variety of cars feature in all the races over the weekend. If you haven't been before but love the Classic Car scene then this event is for you !

Not wanting to bang on about the "Classic" , but we have so many completed cars on here now , do we have any more takers for this event ?
I haven't checked on availability for ferries / tunnel or camping for some time but I'm sure there will something if you wanted to go.
