Default Rear Lower ball joints

Can anyone tell me what the rear lower ball joints on the 5EXI are from, I have nipped one of the rubber cover / gators, they are the type held in by 2 17mm bolts.

Thanks Steve

Hi Steve.

I had the same problem when I had the origional suspension. Got no answers from Marlin.

Ended up taking it down to my local motor factors and matching it up.

Can't for the life of me remember what it was from.

Not sure, but might be from a Ford.

Try QH part number QSJ7555 - Mk1 Cavalier. This is what my car uses, and is the same as I was originally supplied with by Marlin.

No problem. On a related note, did you get the correct track rods ends for your steering rack from Marlin? I don't know what mine were, but they were imperial, when the rack is metric. I had always thought the thread was a little loose but it wasn't until I went and bought a pair of metro rod ends as replacements that I realised what mine should have beenlike from the outset. The metro rods were also longer so offered even more thread engaged, in addition to the correct thread.

I must say all seemed fine with regard to the rod ends, the only issue I had was when I got the new front wishbones the balljoint swere a differant thread but Terry sent me some more foc.
