Question Banham Sprite next project.

Hello,
just joined and ready (nearly) to start building the Banham sprite that I bought on fleabay 2 years ago after a little too much JD

Problem is that I would like a north south engine and box in it instead of the mini lump. Bit underpowered for modern trackdays.
So I'm open to suggestions regading a chassis to suit the body, would like a prebuilt one but will build if ness.
Any chassis on any other car near to the size of the frogeye, that's the question, would the the locost be any use modified ?

The one that immediately springs to mind is the MG Midget chassis as per the Tifosi Rana

Thanks John and hello.
Over the weekend I have splashed out on a chassis.
It may not fit but what the hell, twas an impulse buy and it was cheap
The wheel base is 9 ins longer but I recon I can chop that out without too much trouble or insert 9 inches into the bodywork.
The track is about 8 ins wider but I can fit flush offset Minilites if you know what I mean or maybe 3ins wheel arches will do it.
Thing is I've done it now and I'll let you know if it will fit when it arrives and I can measure it. Worst comes to the worse I can sell it on, must be buyers out there, after all, I bought it

Banham sprint kit.....
Well, commited myself today and scrapped the Banham framework and Mini floorpan and subframes, all I have left is the glassfibre body in two pieces. (not very much)..
Frogeyed sprite hybrid here we come, just need to get the 'new' chassis to fit and find a V8 and box, oh, and shorten the prop a bit etc.. etc.. etc..

440 cubic inch V8 arrived today, 375 bhp and 480 lbs ft of torque, will it ever run?
Most of the engine is there with gearbox, dizzy and carb so here's hoping it's running by summer.
Not tried it in the chassis yet, just hope I've got over two feet to play with between the front top chassis rails
