PistonHeads
Have any of you read PistonHeads recently?
This morning, a prat called ‘eliot’ reckons the latest Kit Car magazine (I sent him a free copy) is being used by Fibly to attack me – LOL! (referring, mainly, to my very own CRAP ads on pages 15 and 23).
He says, this represents the same old feud and therefore makes Kit Car unreadable. Astonishing, isn’t it? - he doesn’t even know who does what, yet can base a thread on this misinformation!
Do you know what? Even after his mistake was politely pointed out; he hasn’t the common decency to apologise: but instead simply says ‘thanks’ to those who corrected his error.
If you’re reading Eliot; I wonder how you’d feel if your livelihood was similarly attacked/undermined for equally erroneous reasons? I’d have posted this there – if I could…...

Just someone seeing if they can make you bite Den, not worth the effort worrying about it tbh.

John is right that guy was trying to get a bite IMO
But from someone who is still licking their wounds, I still think it is a shame the mag bashing still goes on, people know the score and the 'car' is out there and being delivered now like many others, if its crap (parden the pun) then builders wont recomend it, it will be another flop and the company will dissapear.
I'm not going to comment like above on PH though as its hardly fair as you can't get involved (and many posting know this)... plus I havn't read the issue.

Hi Folks,
This morning I thought eliot was an earthy little ignorant offensive twit, but as it happens, he responded with a clear apology to my complaint which Wacky posted on my behalf. He clearly made a genuine mistake and, since I’ve made plenty of those, I’m prepared to accept his apology.
For those who haven’t seen the issue in question. The fuss is about the two ads on the attached spread. Storms and teacups?
Den.
PS. I tried three times to attach the spread, but the forum won't take it. Sorry!

Don't know why your attachments didn't come out (unless they were too big) but I don't think we need to go there anyway, I think most people will know what ads you are talking about.

You're right John, the attachment was 41kb whereas 39kb is max allowed.
I wanted to show just how trivial the complaint was. The ad in question is a copy of one from WKC saying "Think about it.....". Underneath I've added ".... very carefully!". As i said; Storms and teacups come to mind.
Den.

Looking from the outside in I think yourself (Den) and Peter/Vince? REALLY NEED to put all this behind you. You and the others behave like kids, let it go! Life is to short!! Concentrate on producing a great mag. You have a talent, and it's not in the shape of a long standing feud. My two cents worth!!! I noticed in WH Smith that your mag has lost its covering, had a browse, and bought one!

Hi Lambogenie,
Pleased to let you know that we have put it all behind us now. I'm looking forward to a bright new future.

Concerning free magazines. I send out a couple of hundred every month: mainly to ex-subscribers. I choose ranges of dates each month so that they are not always sent to the same people.

Sorry JG!
I've moved you to the front, so you'll be getting a May issue with the Rana feature in it.

KitCarMan,
can you tell me stockists in the Solihull or Bromsgrove areas of the West Midlands. A little bird tells me that from the advanced copy he got of the article you're running on his factory/company/work that my Marlin gets a mention as being an example of other work done and that it might even be in the background of one of the pix!!

I'm hoping that Vindi have finished it last week and that it's being MOT'd this week. Joh at Vindicator is planning to use the MOT to test emissions, gets the lights aligned etc and to calibrate the speedo on the journey there!!
If it passes and there are no issues then it's SVA next. I'm a bit hazy because Johns having a well earned holiday so I've got no updates. I haven't really got any more pics either... Unless you've seen the relevant KC mag and it is in the background!!
