Default type r engine

If anyone on here still needs an engine this would be a good buy at the right price!
Instantly gets you a 56 plate aswell.......

Hi Craig.

Looks like a good buy. Just wondered. To get a new registration, you need new or reconditioned parts. How do they get round things like for our car, the steering column, instrument panel & heater. Do people go and but a new column?

I have been told from a few sources that they don't check everthing and if something needs taking apart they won't check it, but instead they will look at all the receipts.

I have kept every single receipt and sometimes bargains can be had for items that would normally cost £££'s I managed to get my heater brand new still sealed with the controls attached straight from production line for £10 they had 200 to get rid of.

You are only allowed 1 recon part which on mine is the engine. Recon can mean anything from stripping and replacing with all new parts or simply stripping and looking for worn parts or maybe no new parts at all.

I suppose some of it also comes down to the guy you get on the day aswell, whether they are a 'jobs worth'

I am all out for a new plate on mine which is why even though my car could at a push be complete for the summer (Aug I think) I can't resister it until next march as I won't be using it over the winter so it would be a waste of a new plate I will wait for the 08 plate

I hope this isn't a typical ECU price!

My ECU is still being investigated, and although someone has been chasing Abbey on my behalf whilst I was away, there's nothing conclusive to report.

Holiday was, as you might expect, brilliant. The prospect of w*r* on Monday is rather sobering!

The JDM ECU has the advantage that it can be used with a wideband primary lambda sensor, but other than that, given the need to remap (Hondata) to lower UK RON, it has no advantage over a UK item...?
