Default Headlight sealing options?

How have people sealed their lights into the clam? Or have you not bothered?

I would prefer to use rubber rather than sealant but unsure how best to approach?

Cheers
Craig

I and Merlinman used sealant on our's. On Merlinman's first SVA, he had the headlights just sealed in. SVA guy failed it on this point. He was a bit of a jobs worth and was very nit picky (probably the guy who will do yours!) Also, Steve, SDM.. managed to get hold of some blue sealant, so it matched the body colour.

Though he did not like the way Marlin used bungees to secure them, he said had Merlinmans been secured this way, he could not have failed it.

I glassed some metal brackets to the body, and bolted the lights to these. I haven't used sealant, as it's a pig to get the beading right, and aslo means that removing the light is a nightmare.

I didn't like the Marlin bungee approach.

Big rich didn't use sealant, and Ric H didn't either.
