275GT build no6
Hi all here I go again waiting on the guy to come back off holiday to paint my 250swb so started a 275GT well why not. love the shape of the 275 just a bigger gto and thats the one car I miss. going to be a slowish build this one as its a keeper for a while . spent some of the weekend building up the front end light and indicator pods fitted. bumpers on but one side is snug one has a gap so I am thinking of blending them in.

20190721_163750.jpg
the side vents caused me some serious thinking holding everything in place till it drys so I came up with this. good job the stuff I use sets in ten mins
20190721_163642.jpg
made a change to the dash I want a glovebox so lost one of the pods. I am a bit limited to how much I can do to it at the mo till I get a car to put it in.

Andy – It was about this time last year that I saw Kidge’s 275 in person.
It really is a lovely shape, so I look forward to seeing your latest build come together.
Good luck, Paul.
PS
Perhaps this thread should be in the Old No.7 Builds sub-forum where the other 275s are?
( I am sure this is something JG could do for you. )

managed to get both the front bumpers snug by cutting the back bracket off trimming it down and re bonding it back on while holding it in place on the car sounds easy but believe me it was not.
20190728_143241.jpg
back bumper when bolted together did not sit right but in parts sat pretty good.so I bolted it to the car in parts and glassed the comers and along the back of the car so I can take it off make good and trim all the gaps latter.

back lights were for an other project a long time ago just so happens they fit the recces so for now I am going to run with these see if they grow on me

side vents grills fitted in and glassed them from the back fitted some L E D lights for a bit of bling

This is looking good!!
I am considering the idea of getting the 275 rear shell and 250 SWB front shell; throwing in some tweaks and making a 250 GT Lusso tribute.
Gotta get my SWB done first! (And buy in from the wife)
Cant wait to see the finished result! Cheers

Well we did not go to the van this weekend so car time , typical of me spending 2 days getting the bumpers to sit and look good they are now coming off the car after seeing this.

at the mo dont think so but I am doing everything two or three times fit it dont like it so change it. Got a new grill on order this will be my 3rd and hopefully the last change to the bonnet grill. fitted the back lights did not like them so then cut them out to fit the fiat ones 160 quid wow, I will get there. Bought a dash for it but the one in the car is light tan it fits in well with the style but so will the new one when its trimed up but thats a lot of work to sort and something that will only get changed the once honest . unlike everything else lol

quick update backlight pods glassed in and fitted
20190929_163917.jpg
new grill araived and fitted looking at it from the front the spotlight on the left needs turning inwards ,so that will be the next job to cut it out and move it.
not to sure about the shape of the end of the bonnet with the new grill. I need a pair of grills to go each side of the main grill to break it up

it may be the answer to just cut out the sides of the grill to match the car above. one to think about for a few days either way the angle grinder will be out soon

Just started my 275 Convertible project. I'm allowing 4 weeks at a relaxed pace to get the body fitted and ready for paint. My donor car was stripped and prepped well in advance but that's easy, only a couple of days.

you should be sweet with a convertible they are a much easier build compared to the hard tops and a very quick build . good luck with it
