Apologies for using this for a general enquiry but has anyone else lost access to the images posted to this and other threads? The recent changes to Photobucket have stopped me from accessing the images in-thread - I'm assuming others have the same issue.
Is there anything we can do to recover them? The build pictures displayed here are superb - would be a great shame to lose them.

You could ask Chris at Tribute to email them to you from his photobucket account ...

I was rather thinking about how we restore the photos to the forum for others to use.

Unfortunately, there is currently no quick fix to this.
Personally, I've got over 1,000 photos with broken links, so it will take a while to fix the mess.
The feedback I've seen directed at Photobucket does mention the fact that overnight they ruined useful information stored on countless forums and blogs around the world.
Unless they change there policy, I fear many old photos will have been lost forever.
Cheers, Paul.

AFAIK, no photos have been lost. They remain on Photobucket in the accounts of the original owners.
In order for them to re-appear on their respective forums, the owners need to pay Photobucket $399.99 a year.
Or arrange alternative storage and re-establish each link to each pic in each of the forums.

Reason: 3rd party hosting costs $399.99 per year.

As above, but it is actually $499 a year to get the plan that allows 3rd parting hosting.
Given the fact they have 100,000,000+ customers, they may be targeting just a 1% take up worldwide.
As that would still raise $500 million in a few days/weeks.
Which might explain why Photobucket do not appear to care if 99% of their customers leave.

If they hadn't been so greedy and just charged $10 for 2 years hosting they would have had a much larger take up and probably renewals every 2 years.
I really, really hope they go tits up. Greedy bastards

It's the Plus500 account that allows 3rd party access at $39.99 a month or $399.99 per year according to the blurb on my account.
I have amended my earlier message.
I have websites and storage elsewhere so will investigate 3rd party links from there. Photobucket's loss...
