Hi everyone ,first post so please be gentle with me.I know where there is a marlin kit car for sale on a Q plate can anyone tell me if there is anywhere on the vehicle the vin plate should be as it seems to be missing.Thanks Dave

Being a roadster we could be talking about a pre-SVA car, if so I don't think there was a requirement to have a chassis plate as such but just the chassis number stamped into the chassis somewhere. The usual place would be in the engine bay somewhere. This is not to say that it couldn't or didn't have a chassis plate of course.

I take it the owner doesn't know?

It would be straightforward to get a chassis plate made up if the V5 tells you what the number is.
