Default Any Dutton Owners out there?

Well i did it, on friday i am picking up my Dutton Melos project its going to need a lot of work, its stripped and i understand some bits are missing but i wont know for sure until i look at what ive got the things i know i need to get are a gearbox,Wheels and radiator
Wheels i am looking at a set of Saab 15" mostly because they are the same spacing and cheap at £55 for all 4

At the moment its got a pinto 2.0 205 block which is complete, but im thinking of getting a crossflow 13 or 1600cc because its got escort rear axle and prop so anyone want to buy a pinto, i dont know what state its in though, or to swop it for a crossflow 1300 or 1600 engine? also there seem to be more crossflow gearboxes availible locally than ohc units an ive seem a escort box on fleabay locally for a reasonable price where as all type 9's are getting expensive so after a few years without a kit car , since i sold the charger i'm back in the fold,

Im lucky enough to have a storage unit next door to where i work and they are going to store the body whilst i take the chassis and everything else into work and clean up and assess what needs replacing so i have everything i need, i work in a repair depot for a heritage Railway so have anything i need from welding sets , to heavy duty tools for removing paint , rust to pressing in bearings etc and how much did i pay for this dutton £230.00 ok i know i will probally pay out far more by the time ive finished , but escort parts are not exactly expensive i think i can do it for about £600 that includes new ball joints tca, track ends braking parts time scale about 18 months
