What characteristics should I look for when purchasing mirrors? |

All mirrors must show either an E mark or equivalent standard. The mark must be permanent.
The mirror must be enclosed in a protective housing.
The external mirrors must be able to deflect inwards when a force of 10kg is applied.
The rotation axis must not exceed 50mm from the base of the mirrors mounting point.
The reflective surface of the mirror must meet minimum size requirements as follows;
Interior mirror 4 wheeled vehicles
Minimum rectangular surface area of 80mm length x 40mm height
External mirror 4 wheeled vehicles
Minimum rectangular surface area of 70mm length x 40mm height and a line parallel to the
height of the rectangle not less than 70mm in length. See Fig 1. for explanation

which is circular having a diameter not less than 94mm and not greater than 150mm.
